ChristCare Groups

ChristCare leaders meet with their groups of 4-12 people twice a month for community building and caring, Bible study, mission, and prayer. New members and guests are always welcome! Presently there is a Men’s Christcare Group that meets every other Sunday morning before worship, and a weeknight Women’s ChristCare group.

Women’s Fellowship Group – KiSeLo

KiSeLo (Kindness, Service, Love) meets monthly for fellowship, to discuss their wide-ranging, mission-focused program, and to explore new opportunities to serve. Monthly meetings cover diverse topics and activities, ranging from the travelogues of local missionaries to the annual Christmas celebration.

Women’s Bible Study

A Women’s Bible Study is held periodically on Sunday nights, led by Margie Dissinger. The studies often include a video component and sometimes a workbook to facilitate learning. Fall & Spring sessions usually run for 6-8 weeks. New women are always welcome to attend.

Benevolent Beaders

This group makes jewelry that they sell at various events throughout the year. They also collect donations of jewelry that they then sell. All the proceeds go to local outreach efforts. Last Fall the Benevolent Beaders gave $400 to the Open Pantry and $500 to Alternative House.

Men’s Breakfast

We recently started having a Men’s Breakfast every other month. We’ve had a terrific time and great food at our first two breakfasts! Our next breakfast will be Jan. 12, 8:30 am. Please join us!

Music Ministry

Music Ministry is a strong and vital part of Central Congregational Church.  Praising God with music is an essential part of the worship service. The Music Committee and the Director of Music, Francisco Fernandez, try to ensure that the music at CCC meets the needs and desires of the congregation in celebrating God’s Love. Belonging to one or more of our music groups gives members a chance to share their talents and love of music with the congregation in a fulfilling way.  All of our groups always welcome new folks to join them.

  • Chancel Choir – The Chancel Choir is an all volunteer adult choir that rehearses Thursday evenings and sings an anthem in addition to leading the congregation in hymns and responses during the Sunday morning worship service.  The only requirement is a love of singing.
  • Bell Choir – The Muriel Bridges Parlee Bell Choir is an intergenerational group that plays 3 octaves of handbells about once per month during the service.   Rehearsals are Thursday evenings.
  • SonLightSonLight is a praise band that enjoys performing contemporary Christian music.  They are looking for more instrumentalists and singers of all ages to join.  Come to a rehearsal on Tuesdays at 7:30 pm.

So if you like to make a “Joyful Noise unto the Lord,”  there are many opportunities at CCC!
