The ancient Israelites loved words and therefore loved poetry. Often their poems were song lyrics, such as the ones we find in the Book of Psalms. But they also wrote many more works of poetry found throughout the Bible, including in the New Testament. We’ll take a look at these poems on Tuesdays, Feb. 2 and Feb. 9, via Zoom. Watch for the Zoom links in upcoming emails.

If you’ve ever struggled with reading poetry, you’re certainly not alone. But please don’t let that stop you from attending these sessions. Biblical poetry is far easier than Chaucer, T.S. Eliot and Ezra Pound!
