Rev. Judie Bryant is looking forward to leading us in an introduction to Compassionate Integrity Training on Sunday evening, May 16, 6:00 pm.  She has been trained and certified to facilitate CIT by the Center for Compassionate Integrity and Secular Ethics at Life University in Atlanta, Georgia and has led several groups through the program both in person and on ZOOM.  Although CIT is intentionally secular in order to appeal to a broad base of potential consumers, the program has deep roots in the Judeo-Christian tradition.  From the CIT website (https://www.compassionateintegrity.org/) : “Join individuals from over thirty countries who have completed Compassionate Integrity Training, a resiliency-informed program that helps cultivate human values as skills, so we can thrive as individuals and a society, within a healthy environment. By learning to calm our body and mind, become more emotionally aware and practice compassion for ourselves and others, we learn compassionate integrity: the ability to live one’s life in accordance with one’s values with  recognition of common humanity, our basic orientation to kindness and reciprocity.”

Judie is an ordained pastor of the United Church of Christ. She has worked at United Church of Christ churches in Chelmsford, Lowell and Leominster, MA; as sole pastor of the Mont Vernon Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, in NH, and is currently serving as the Intentional Interim Pastor at Pilgrim Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, in Nashua, NH.  She has taken trainings and coursework in Kingian Non Violence, Narrative Worldview, Family Systems Theory, Mediation Skills training for churches; intentional interim training through the Interim Ministry Network, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology degree from Salem State College, in Salem, MA.  She earned a Master of Divinity degree from Andover Newton Theological School in Newton Center, MA. Judie lives in Chelmsford with husband, Geoff, and their two dogs, Bailey and Seamus.  She has three adult children, Chris, Katie, and Daniel and two grandchildren, Dez and Alex.  Judie was in care with Central Congregational Church in Chelmsford while attending seminary and in discernment for ordination. She has recently reactivated her membership at CCC and now once again considers CCC her home church.
