“Seeds of Faith” Blog
From Pastor Rich: "I’ve started a blog to go along with my sermons for July. We’ll be studying Paul’s incredible letter to the Philippians. It’s known as “The Epistle of Joy” because it uses the word “joy” more than any other book of the Bible. What’s amazing about this is that he wrote this letter from prison! So Paul’s got something to teach us about faith and joy in challenging times.
Each week I’ll post the passage I’ll be preaching on. I invite your comments. For security purposes you’ll have to “join” the blog to post on it. I hope you’ll check it out, especially if you’re away from CCC for the summer. This can be a nice way to stay connected. Essentially it’s an online Bible Study we can do together as a community of faith. Please check it out at cccspiritblog.blogspot.com."
Lunch with the Pastor: Tuesdays at Noon
Every Tuesday at noon, Pastor Rich hosts "Lunch with the Pastor." You are invited to bring a lunch and spend an hour with Pastor Rich discussing what's going on in the world or just what's on your mind. See you there!
Thank you to CCC Music Director Francisco Fernandez for treating the community to a fabulous Christmas concert on Sunday, December 10. Under Francisco's direction as both pianist and conductor, our wonderful CCC choir joined 35 professional musicians, including those from the renowned Boston Pops and Boston Lyric Opera, in an orchestra and brass-percussion-organ ensemble. It truly was an event to be remembered for years to come! Francisco has generously posted several of the performances for your listening and viewing pleasure. Enjoy!
Celebrating Christ's Birth
O Holy Night! Enjoy this incredible celebration of Christ's birth at CCC's Christmas Eve candlelight service, featuring Duo of Hope (CCC Music Director/Pianist Francisco Fernandez and his wife, cellist Taide Prieto) and soloist Ana Mora. Our congregation and visitors were blessed with wonderful music ministry at both of our candlelight services, including our chancel choir, SonLight band, and talented soloists.
Women’s Bible Study: HeBrews A Better Blend
Join us for an 8-week Bible Study all about better things . . . with faith in Jesus being the focal point of all things better. In this Bible study, Leah Adams teaches us from the Old and New Testaments, showing how the writer of Hebrews blended a beautiful mixture of Old Covenant theology, with Jesus and the New Covenant He instituted with His blood. This study on the book of Hebrews will start on Sunday, February 25 at 7:00 p.m. Watch for signups at coffee hour or contact Margie Dissinger at 978-256-3707 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
An Evening of Love Songs: Saturday, February 10
What better way to celebrate Valentine's Day than with “An Evening of Love Songs?” Back by popular demand, we will join together in Fellowship Hall to share love songs, poems, laughter, and joy on the Saturday before Valentine’s Day, February 10, beginning at 7:00 p.m. If you would like to share a favorite love song or poem, please speak to Pastor Rich.
What a joyful celebration on November 19 as CCC bestowed upon the Rev. Dr. John A. Zachry the title of Pastor Emeritus.
